BTI Construction & Supply Signs Landmark Agreement with The Gambia
Senior officials of the Social Security & Housing Finance Corporation (SS-HFS) of The Gambia initiate working partnership with Prince George's County, MD firm to introduce proven housing technology to The Gambia. The terms of that Agreement in Principle call for the phased, demand-driven supply and construction of as many as 2000 pre-formed houses for The Gambia over a five-year period.

This partnership is in response to The Gambian government's acknowledgment that housing is a fundamental human right; a right that each of its citizens -- whether in-country or in Diaspora -- is entitled. BTI Construction & Supply (BTIC&S) is providing a practical and economical family housing solution. Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), a well-established American technology, will offer value, strength of construction and affordability to the Gambian consumer.

What are the mutual benefits of the Partnership?

  • Effect meaningful trade between the State of Maryland and ECOWAS member countries
  • Increased export and import traffic through both the Baltimore and Banjul Ports
  • Jobs creation and business expansion in Prince George's County and The Gambia; at The Port of Baltimore; and at the Port of Banjul
  • Small-Business to Small-Business (SB-2-SB) Development, Investment and expansion domestically and internationally
